Growing up with alcoholism , drug addiction ,codependency and abuse, was the beginning of so many unhealthy behaviors that i took with me everywhere i went and into my adulthood . The most debilitating behavior was denial. Denial of things that i was not ready to face or deal with especially if it meant there would be any change in my life and giving up any control of everything or so i thought i was in control...
Recovery has opened up the denial and control with such grace , ease ,and so gently that each time it gets easier and easier to uncover all the wreckage and finding more of my beautiful self .
